I like my history class better then the past few years. This one seems much better and i feel like im going to actually do good. For the past week i have been doing all my work on time,nothing has been to hard. My teacher said if i needed help with anything she would help me because if i dont pass this class i dont graduate this year. I like the kids in my history class better then the ones in the other years they are very helpfull and friendly. I like that we get homework a few days a week because that means i wont forget what we are learning that week. I also like the do nows we do in the beginning of the class, it helps me to start thinking in the beginning of class. then i also like how we do the exit ticket at the end of class that helps me remember what we learned through out the class.

 History This week we have been reading our books because at the end of the marking period we have to do a book report about the book we are reading. We had to pick a book that had at least a little bit to do with history. I thik this is a really cool project because i really dont like to read but for some reason i reaally like the book i picked i cant wait to write about it. i really like what we do in this history class compared to my other ones my teacher is really nice she works with me. The stuff we do in her class is more hands on like with the computers witch i really like becasue i like to use the computers.  11-11-11 History For this marking period i would like to get a higher grade then i did my first marking period. If i fail again i dont think ill pass for the year then that means iwont graduate. I plan to actually be here on tiem and get all my work in. Im also going to try and stay after when i can to get extra help so i can deffinetly get a good grade. My teacher is very understanding she said she will help me to pass her class.  11-13-11 History Every marking period we have to read a book and by the end of the marking period we have to write about the book we read. So this week we have been looking for a book to read it has to do with something about history. So far my book is about what the people in the army do for fun during the war. Its kind of interesting that they do things like play baseball and stuff. History This week in history we where learning about the cold war. the yola confrence started in 1945. The soviet union controled eastern europe. The postdam confrence also started in 1945. Germany went into four zone occupancy france, britsh, U.S, and the USSR. the united nations consisted of russia, U.S, UK, france and china. And the churchill speech was in march of 1946. truman was president from 1945-1953. The berlin airlift was between 1948-1949 it was 11 months long. The U.S UK and france airlifted supplies.NATO stands for north atlantic treaty organization. The manhattan project started in 1945. The mao zedong started in 1949.It took control of china. |
History 9-26-11 The past few days in history class we have been talking about we are doing for the marking period. One of the things we are doing is a book report due at the end of the marking period. My book is called ground zero, im always very interested about ground zerop because after every thing happened there my dad went there the day after to help clean up and search for missing people. He was a fire fighter that is why he got to go and help out the people who needed to be helped. We are also talking about the whats happening around the world.  History 10-18-11 In my history class we have been learning about WWII. Its been cool to learn about the different technologies they had during WWII that they didnt have before it. Some interesting ones to me are jet engines, the atomic bomb and air craft carriers. The germans were the first to produce a jet fighter. Jet engines were first invented by the british engineerer frank whittle. The atomic bomb "little boy" and "fat man" were probably the most signifigant part of WWII. Aircraft carriers replaced battleships during the war. they still used the battleships but mostly just for a platform for the aircrafts to take off and land on.
History 10-3-11 Last week in class i learned a lot about the different laws. Some of them are no longer in affect this time in day. But most of them are still here today. A mager one that is still in affect is the FDIC. the FDIC is something that if the banks get closed down then the people who have their money in that bank get to get it out, they can get out up till $1,500,000. We also learned about the dust bowl and great deppression. We had a student teacher come in last week to tell us about the dust bowl and stuff. i really think she did a great job at teacher for her first time i learned alot.  History The past few days we have been learning about the genocide. The genocide affected a lot of people in many different ways. We have also been talking about the Japanese not being aloud in the U.S. this marking period i have learned a lot about different things in history witch i think is really cool because i never really liked history. my teacher makes it really fun for us and helps me under stand if i dont understand something. so hopefully in the next 3 marking periods i get the good grades and learn more about world war II 12-5-11 History Last week i wasnt really here but the day i was here we got handed a paper with questions on it. It was a pretty esignment because all we had to do is re write the questions and hand it in for credit. Then after we handed the paper in we started to take notes on the korean war. Then i came in late on tuesday and thursday. And on wednesday and friday i was in all day detention so i didnt learn anything so i will have to stay after to get what i missed.  History 12-12-11 This week we have been learning a lot about the cold war and finishing up the korean war. Its good to learn about new things because it expands ur thinking. Like about what they went through back then and how hard it was to be in the war fighting. To this day it is still hard to be in the war and to be away from your family and friends and not being able to come home all the time or for the holidays.  |
